Are you ready to join Kate and Sam on another adventure? Kate and Sam, two fictional Nixon students, are setting off on a journey with Lewis and Clark in 1804. You will hike across the country, survive a winter in the Rocky Mountains, and white water raft down the Columbia River.

Two hundred years ago, Lewis and Clark left St. Louis on the Missouri River to find an all water route to the Pacific Ocean. They traveled through the newly acquired land of the Louisiana Purchase on orders from Thomas Jefferson.

On this website, please find detailed timelines of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, over forty (40) links to help you learn more about their trip, interactive maps, a photo gallery, biographies, the Journey of Discovery story, and copies of everythinig you need to complete your personal journey.

Every student that participated will receive a Lewis and Clark Junior Ranger Patch from our Co-Sponsor, the U.S. National Park Service.
